![]() ![]() So instead of actually waiting like a normal person for the funds to appear on a Friday, they credit funds to your account when they see info from the federal reserve of how much will be paid to you from your employer. Now again, Chime is notified by the federal reserve, generally sometime on a Wednesday whenever your employers payroll info has been finalized, and simply pays you what is being reported as your pay amount. So your money is kinda held for that small window of time until it’s “supposed” to be disbursed from your employers bank to your bank. Generally this will allow enough time for checks and Direct Deposits via ACH disbursement to be ready or post by Friday when payment dates are normally scheduled for. Information gets finalized and transmitted to the Federal Reserve in nearly most cases by Wednesday. Most Employer Payroll info typically gets submitted over a weekend thru Monday/Tuesday. ![]() Now, for anyone wondering, if I remember correctly, the process for what happens is as follows. So it’s up to your job on how early you get paid. Basically when Chime sees your payroll information posted in the backend they simply credit your account whatever that payroll info says right there and then. It’s possible it could be much earlier or even later in the day. Chime for me has consistently posted shortly right after 10 PM on Wednesdays, albeit tonight posted around 10:57. My main banks direct deposit usually posts anywhere from 2-3 AM on Friday. ![]()
